Thua Thien Hue is the only location in Vietnam where all terrain types—forests, mountains, hills, plains, lagoons, and sea—converge from high mountains to the ocean. Perfume River and Ngu Mountain are two examples of the outstanding and beautiful natural heritages that nature has given upon this nation. The Tam Giang-Cau Hai lagoon system, with a total size of about 22,000 hectares, is the largest in Southeast Asia. One of the most stunning bays in the world is Lang Co Bay. The communities in Thua Thien Hue have developed distinctive traits as a result of this diverse ecosystem over time. Thua Thien Hue is also pursuing smart urban development, particularly the use of smart tourism. Thua Thien Hue is currently one of the country’s experimental destinations for smart tourism.
