Yen Bai is a province located in the central part of the mountainous and midland region of Northern Vietnam. To the northwest, it shares borders with Lao Cai Province and Lai Chau Province; to the east and northeast, it borders Ha Giang Province and Tuyen Quang Province; to the southeast, it shares boundaries with Phu Tho Province, and to the west, it borders Son La Province. Situated along the main economic corridor of Côn Minh – Lao Cai – Hanoi, Yen Bai serves as a gateway to the Northwestern region, facilitating economic and trade exchanges not only with neighboring provinces and major economic centers within the country but also with foreign countries. This includes the southwestern provinces of China and ASEAN member states.
